Reared in western North Carolina, Patrick grew up surrounded by a family whose deep roots in the region fostered within him a deep love for the history of both the Southern landscape and its people. Growing up, his extended family played a significant role not only in his formal education, but also in the education of his imagination, inviting him into both his ancestral culture and faith. Drawn to Wyoming Catholic due to its emphasis on the poetic mode of education, in his Junior year he became enthralled by the works of William Faulkner, which helped to draw together the strands of the Western Literary tradition and his love for Southern history. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, climbing, and studying both Southern and French literature. With aspirations to pursue higher education in Literature, Patrick is thrilled to be working to invite others into the education which completely transforms its students in its pursuit of truth, hoping to help others find new life in the unique array of academic disciplines which Wyoming Catholic College offers.
