An Invitation From the President
These challenging times prevent us from sharing the beauty of Lander, Wyoming, in person, which we would love to do, but it brings me great pleasure to invite you to our virtual Fall Open House. This will be an opportunity to get a glimpse, at least, of what makes Wyoming Catholic College unique within the realm of higher education. Of course, it is not possible to rock climb, rappel, or ride horseback virtually; nor is it possible to explore the Wind River Range or our quiet mountain town, but we can share some of the poetic education that gives our curriculum one of its distinctly vital strains.
Wyoming Catholic College is more than the outdoor program, the academic life, or even our Catholicity, taken alone. These three aspects together make this College an antidote for the age of specialization. A whole human life is not, by nature, a mere assembly of compartmentalized activities, but one thing, united by belief and illuminated by understanding—exactly the experience we give our students in their four years with us. As you peruse the website, I urge you to take notice of how each of these three elements is essential to the growth of young men and women during these formative years and how each informs the others.
I hope that you can join us on the 10th of October. I look forward to meeting each of you when you visit Lander in person. May God bless you.
