Matt serves as president and CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute and founded the Center for Poverty Solutions, where he works to advance solutions that help people flourish, strengthen families, and overcome poverty.
Matt serves on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Illinois Advisory Committee. He is also a board member of the RBN Foundation, and the St. John Henry Newman Institute. He is a member of Legatus, the Knights of Columbus, and the Leonine Forum. His writing has appeared in national publications, and he has testified before Congress on poverty and the dignity of work.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Matt is an avid reader, self-taught banjo player, and reluctant runner.
