Come, let us climb the LORD’s mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may instruct us in his ways, and we may walk in his paths.

In a recent letter he wrote to incoming members of the Class of 2030, President Kyle Washut commiserated that the task of choosing a college can feel like a great burden to many young people, but noted that the challenge of finding a “life-changing institution that will prepare you for the remaining journey of your lives” is also a tremendous opportunity.

“Find a place,” he encouraged them, “that will join you to young men and women who eager to climb mountains together, to read deeply, to pray earnestly, to sing joyfully, and to laugh loudly together.”

“Education is a time to prepare,” he said, “to find Christ hidden in ten thousand places–in the wilderness of Wyoming, in the pages of the Great Books, in the rhythms of Roman and Byzantine liturgies, and in the daily joys and trials of unfiltered community life.”

“It is the time to engage in challenges that will equip you to encounter and enable you to protect and pass on the things that are most important. It is the time to embrace an education that is demanding, countercultural, and earnestly important; an education embodied in a joy-filled community of friends striving to be fully present to the reality around them.”

Students who attend Wyoming Catholic College are “stretched, strengthened, and renewed,” and the young men and women who journey to Lander to undertake this extraordinary education “rejoice in the wonder of it all.”

Ours is a wonderfully exciting, fulfilling vision of education, but it is one that cannot come together without help. We depend, with gratitude, on the yearly support of friends who make this amazing education a reality. We know that we are teaching the love of truth, we hope in God, and we trust that He will bring us the support we need.

#GiveToday!

Each #GivingTuesday, we have the opportunity to remind our friends and benefactors of this College’s great mission, and to encourage them to help us with the very real costs that must be met in order to achieve that mission.

Today, we ask all who are encouraged by the very-real results of this extraordinary institution — encouraged by the  bright and since young people who graduate from Wyoming Catholic College each year — to join the faculty, staff, students, and families of Wyoming Catholic this #GivingTuesday . Please consider making a gift in support of this vital educational adventure. Your generosity will help us sustain our transformational work and serve as a testament to the importance of our efforts.

Truly, there is no place on earth where young people have such an opportunity to grow in Wisdom, to deepen their Faith, and to spend their days in spirited, unwavering pursuit of the Good, True and Beautiful as they do here in Lander. There’s nowhere else quite like Wyoming Catholic College!
