2025 SPRING BREAK
FLASH CAMPAIGN
Thanks to all our friends and supporters who joined this year’s Spring Break Flash Campaign (and for those who helped share our messages throughout the week), we met our goal of $45,000, and then some! As you can see from our handy “goal thermometer,” we were able to raise an additional 10% beyond our target, bringing in over $50,000 for the College and her students. THANK YOU!!
Recaps of each day’s emails can be found below.
DAY ONE—Canyoneering in Hanksville, Utah
DAY TWO—Biking through Fruita and Moab
DAY THREE—Climbing and Ministry in Colorado
DAY FOUR—Sea Kayaking on the Green River
DAY FIVE—White Water Adventures on the Owyhee
DAY SIX—One Final Adventure for the Women of 2025
Outdoor Weeks are scheduled for each semester of the year, and are seasonally spaced. During an Outdoor Week, which runs from Saturday through Saturday, there are no academic classes and no large papers or projects assigned. This pause permits students to immerse themselves completely in the outdoor experience, allowing them to take full advantage of all the learning that occurs in the wilderness setting.
Spring Break is upon us once again, our annual reminder that Wyoming Catholic College’s observance of this (often infamous) event is as unique as our educational vision. For our students, this time will not feature raucous partying in some distant beach town but instead, week-long adventures into the backcountry of the Mountain West, where they will immerse themselves in the beauty and reality of Creation, “God’s First Book.”
Over 80% of our students will be taking part in the outdoor weeks this time around, with a dozen separate groups focusing on various activities: mountain biking, canyoneering, kayaking, rock climbing, desert backpacking, pack-rafting (in Latin!), horse riding and packing, and more. (As with each of our outdoor trips, the group of students are accompanied by a head lead, a co-leader, a designated Wilderness First Responder, and in those cases where the trip requires particular technical skills, a professional instructor.)
As our students take part in this annual tradition, we’re taking part in a tradition of our own: the Spring Break Flash Campaign, designed to help raise awareness and support for these unique springtime activities, and our unique educational institution. Thanks to your support, last year’s campaign was a resounding success, smashing our initial target of $35,000!
This year, we’re setting our sights a bit higher. Again, with your help, we’re aiming to raise a total of $45,000 over the course of the next week—a goal which we hope (and intend!) to meet by next Saturday, the end of Wyoming Catholic College’s Spring Break 2025.
Please consider joining this year’s Spring Break campaign by making a gift today in support of our young extraordinary men and women.
As in the past, our Advancement team will be sharing emails and social media posts each day, highlighting our different trips and showing how our Experiential Leadership Program (ELP) makes use of that particular trip to foster leadership and wonder in our students.
Please help share these stories, so that we can continue to spread the word about this educational revolution that’s taking place in the beautiful backcountry of the Mountain West. And please consider joining this campaign yourself, providing vital support to these extraordinary students and their life-changing adventures in “God’s First Book.”
Gifts made through the form below will automatically be assigned to the Flash Campaign, and will appear in the Goal Meter at the top of this page as it is updated each day. If you would prefer to make a gift over the phone, via check, or through another philanthropic vehicle (such as a gift of stock or a mutual fund transfer), please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at oia@wyomingcatholic.edu or by phone at (877) 332-2930, and the Advancement team will ensure your gift is assigned to the Spring Break campaign.
