Sean Wood
COR Formation and Fundraising Coordinator
B.A. (Liberal Arts), Thomas Aquinas College
Sean grew up in a rather large and very musical family in the sunny hills of Ojai, CA. After spending his childhood climbing trees, traveling the world with his family, working on an organic farm, playing the fiddle, and adventuring with his brothers and his pet goat, Sean graduated from Thomas Aquinas College in 2013. After several years of traveling around the world as a professional musician, the Lord called Sean to leave everything to follow Him. Sean gave his life to Jesus on a COR trip in the desert of Southern California, and soon after this encounter with the Lord in the wilderness, Sean responded to the Lord’s invitation to join the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in New York City. He spent six years living in radical Gospel community, serving the poor and homeless on the streets of New York, and evangelizing to young people throughout the world. After six years with the CFRs, the Lord once again called Sean to leave everything to follow Him to the wilds of Lander, WY. Sean has fallen in love with the beauty, ruggedness, and simplicity of Wyoming living, and is super excited to be part of the COR team.
Sean has learned that following the Lord is the greatest possible adventure, and His only desire is to live with a heart on fire with His love. Sean’s favorite words of Jesus are from John 10:10: “I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full!” His hope and desire is that the young men and women of the world would find the meaning and purpose of their lives in Jesus through transformational wilderness renewal.. He loves rock-climbing, hiking, cliff-jumping, cold-plunging, sailing, bonfires, adventures with friends, stargazing, organic farming, traveling, missioning in Haiti, preaching the Gospel, fiddling, literature, the ocean, tacos, good coffee, JPII, Mamma Mary, and being the beloved son of the Father!
