
Francis Casale
General Partner, 3RE Partner; Managing Partner, Quotient Partners, LLC
Francis is a General Partner of 3RE Partners, a private commercial real estate investment partnership, as well as the Managing Partner of Quotient Partners, LLC, a diversified private family partnership that holds a variety of alternative assets.
As a private equity executive for over 27 years, Francis has led the acquisition and/or disposition of more than $4 billion worth of equity investments and has financed over $8 billion of assets, including $6 billion of real estate, plus inventories, receivables and heavy equipment. Until 2012, Francis was the Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of the Hudson’s Bay Trading Company, L.P. (HBC), a private $6 billion operating partnership that held the Lord & Taylor department store and the Hudson’s Bay Company and all of their affiliates including all real estate assets and credit card portfolios.
Prior to forming the Hudson’s Bay Trading Company, Francis was one of the founding employees and the Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of NRDC Equity Partners, LLC, a multibillion-dollar international private equity partnership focused on unlocking real estate value inside operating companies. While at NRDC, Francis also led the public listing of the $400 million NRDC Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC). He served on the public board of directors and was charged with all audit and governance matters. Francis and his team ultimately executed a successful and enduring SPAC completion transaction, creating the first SPAC real estate investment trust, the Retail Opportunities Investment Company. The company traded publicly under the ticker ROIC until recently acquired by Blackstone (NYSE: BX)
Prior to NRDC, Francis was the Managing Director of Private Capital Investments at SAC Capital Advisors, and a director at Axe-Houghton Associates. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from Babson College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. Francis is devoted to his wife of 23 years, Dr. Kristin Pisacano Casale, MD, and their two children, Christopher and Grace.
