Blaise DeMaster
My name is Blaise; I am a rising junior in the Class of 2028. My homeland is beyond the Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Pennsylvania. I’m really looking forward to PEAK because I love telling people about my college and my experiences, and I’m eager to share in some experiences with others. One of my favorite things about WCC is the sense of challenge and adventure; there are so many exciting things to undertake and the hardest part is choosing between them! The academics are very challenging but the outdoor trips are the perfect break. The education is very realistic and pertains well to life since you have to balance improving the mind and improving the body. One of my favorite outdoor trips was Leader Week in May of 2025. Immediately after graduation, a group of students departed Lander for Grandstaff Canyon Utah, where we practiced backcountry hardskills, drilled medical scenarios, sung folk songs in harmony, recited poetry, and cooked masterful backcountry meals for a week. The challenge paired with the camaraderie made for an excellent and spiritually invigorating trip. I look forward to bringing others into these adventures at PEAK!
