Robert A. “Bob”Ramaekers

As Vice President for Tenaska Development, Bob Ramaekers is responsible for carbon sequestration development efforts, including site development, permitting and land acquisition activities for Tenaska Development projects. Mr. Ramaekers has worked for Tenaska since 1996. Before his current role, he served as Tenaska Vice President, Strategic Development & Acquisitions responsible for domestic power plant development, including both natural gas-fueled and renewable projects, market analysis, site development and due diligence for acquisitions and coordinating acquisition and finance closing activities.

Mr. Ramaekers also previously served as Tenaska’s Director of Marketing Services, supervising Tenaska’s market analysis team, which supported the company’s power plant development, acquisition and power marketing businesses. Mr. Ramaekers has represented Tenaska on various industry subcommittees, working groups and task forces, including the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) Planning Committee. Before joining Tenaska, Mr. Ramaekers worked in the resource planning department of the Nebraska Public Power District. Mr. Ramaekers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

He and his wife, Michelle, have nine children. Their son, Jacob, graduated from Wyoming Catholic College CC in 2020 as the recipient of the Pier Giorgio Frassati Award, and is currently working as a course director for COR Expeditions. They are active member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish (in Omaha).
