Austin Penny

Where is your hometown?
My hometown is Saratoga Springs, New York.

All-time highlight of Wyoming Catholic?
My all time favorite moment, so far, at WCC has to be this: one night, my dorm went to serenade our sister dorm. Before we went to sing to our sister dorm, some of us had a speaker blasting music in our room. The rest of my dorm came in and we sang at the top of our lungs for a few minutes and then went out to the women. The community and the carefree demeanor that we all had was, to me, priceless.

Favorite outdoor trip memory?
My favorite outdoor trip memory comes from a downhill ski trip at White Pine Ski Resort. Me and two of my closest friends were skiing together and having a great time. The weather was gorgeous, the views breathtaking, and life was perfect. When we rode up the chairlift we would sing and our voices would either echo off the mountains or be a murmur deadened by the snow. I spent a great day with friends, doing one of the greatest sports in the world, in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

What’s your favorite class, and why?
My favorite class is Math because I love solving problems.

What’s a little-known fact about you?
A little known fact about me is that I am an avid rower. In Wyoming… Where there is no water… Some call me a fish out of water.
