Wyoming Catholic College invites applications for the position of assistant professor. Candidates must have a doctorate and must satisfy one of the following:

  1. hold a graduate degree in theology, or
  2. hold a graduate degree in mathematics or one of the sciences, or
  3. hold a graduate degree in any of the College’s other curricular tracks (Humanities, Philosophy, Fine Arts, Latin, or Trivium) and either (i) have the qualifications and experience to teach an introductory course in the College’s equestrian program using a natural horsemanship approach, or (ii) have proficiency in choir directing and music education.

Faculty at Wyoming Catholic College hold an appointment in one curricular track, which reflects their primary area of specialty and most frequent area of teaching. However, faculty are strongly encouraged (and enabled through auditing, mentorship, and other opportunities for professional development) to teach in other tracks as well.

In a cover letter, applicants should explain how their philosophy of education accords with that of the College (expressed in the Philosophical Vision Statement) and specify which courses in which of WCC’s curricular track(s) they are readily equipped to teach and which track(s) they might eventually grow into if they were to join the Wyoming Catholic College faculty (for more information on WCC’s curriculum, consult the Academic Catalog). Position Summary:
The Campus Events and Visit Coordinator is responsible for the seamless coordination of both internal campus events and visit experiences geared towards prospective students. This role integrates logistics, hospitality, and mission-driven programming across student life, admissions, and various other departments. Key areas of responsibility include logistical oversight of major campus events and facilitating campus visits for prospective students, and other guests. The Coordinator works collaboratively with staff, faculty, and students to ensure that all campus experiences reflect the College’s mission and high caliber of professionalism.

Essential Functions/Primary Job Responsibilities: 

Campus Events & Programs

  • Plan and execute major campus events such as Welcome Week, Orientation, Class Dances, Open Houses, Don Rags, Academic Lecture Series, Major Feast celebrations, and Commencement.

  • Manage campus space reservations and event logistics for internal and guest use.

  • Support career services and alumni relations through coordination of guest speakers and recruiters.

  • Serve as a member of various event and planning committees (i.e. commencement, dances, feasts, lectures).

Admissions & External Engagement

  • Coordinate all logistics for Admissions campus visit programs including Open Houses, Founders’ Scholarship Competition and daily tours.

  • Lead the PEAK Summer Program, including staff hiring, training, and on-site management.

  • Organize student-led Phonathons in collaboration with Admissions and Advancement.

  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students and families during visit planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 1+ years of experience in event planning, admissions, student services, or related fields.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Hospitality-driven with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

  • Familiarity with the mission and culture of Wyoming Catholic College strongly preferred.

Job Title: Associate Director of Formation for Men

Department: Office of Student Life

Reports to: Assistant Dean for Students

Position Summary: The Associate Director of Formation for Men fosters community life on campus by helping to maintain and nurture a spirit of Christian friendship between students, faculty, and staff – a friendship founded on Christ, who is encountered in the spiritual life, academic pursuits, and wilderness expeditions of the College. In supporting this fundamental goal, the Director of Student Life assists in ensuring students’ legitimate needs are met, ensures that their concerns are heard, enforces the College’s rules, organizes some trips, activities, and events, serves as a liaison between the students and administration, and oversees residential life on campus.

The Associate Director of Formation for Men is responsible for overseeing human formation for male students at WCC, especially the male prefects. The Formator works collaboratively with staff, faculty, and students to advance the College’s mission with respect to spiritual formation and development goals. Key areas of responsibility include providing ongoing human formation and assisting the chaplaincy in the ongoing spiritual formation of the male prefects and all the male students on campus. The Associate Director of Formation for Men works in close collaboration with the Female Counterpart to supervise the Prefect team. The Associate Director of Formation for Men works closely with the Assistant Dean for Students to achieve these objectives.

Essential Functions/Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee residential and community life of the student body and foster relationships with students
    • Mentor and support students in their human and spiritual development.
    • Mediate student conflicts in collaboration with the Associate Director of Formation for Women and the Assistant Dean for Students 
  • Supervise Prefects and provide leadership training and support.
    • Mentor the prefects in their role as peer leaders-deepen their understanding of fraternal leadership
    • Invest in the prefects as the cultural leaders of the college via: annual workshops and training, weekly team meetings and regular one on one council. This can include human and Catholic formation via readings, activities, team connection and intentional leisure and retreat opportunities.
    • ensure the prefects know the Student Handbook
  • In collaboration with the College Chaplain, organize formation programming (retreats, talks, etc.).
  • Opportunities might include weekend or week-long retreats (coordinate with COR) with formators (priests, religious, etc), semi-regular evenings of recollection (working with chaplaincy), facilitating men’s and women’s groups, planning and facilitating the sophomore and senior retreats (with the help of the campus events coordinator), creating relationships between the students and the community (service work, spiritual direction with members of the larger Catholic community, etc.)
  • Plan opportunities to live the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and workshops on how to engage with the poor and homeless- essentially, learning the spirit of evangelization
  • Implement school policies in regard to student life as contained in the Student Handbook 
    • Resolve minor disciplinary incidents and follow appropriate escalation measures for major disciplinary incidents
    • Update Student Handbook in conjunction with the Dean for Student Services, Assistant Dean for Students and Academic Council
  • Act as liaison between the administration and the student body

Other duties: 

Participate in outdoor week trips

Be the primary on call person for emergencies 

Serve as a member of the BIT and the Risk Management committee

Assist in running weekly prefect meetings

Participate in weekly OSL meetings

Serve on the Risk Management Committee

Supervise student workers

Oversee the student lounge/bar

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
