Throughout this course, we have been praying and speaking in the hopes of more and deeper Bible reading and study among you our distance learning students. The Bible is, as St. Jerome said, “shallow enough for a babe to come and drink without fear of drowning and deep enough for theologians to swim in without ever reaching the bottom.” But how do we come and drink? Where do we begin? In this lecture, Dr. James Tonkowich, the College’s Director of Distance Learning, shares ideas about how to begin to drink from the wells of Scripture without fear of drowning.
