Growing up in west Michigan, Andre spent much of his time adventuring in the great outdoors with his parents and four siblings. While in high school, Andre’s love for the wilderness was channeled through a Catholic scouting program where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and partook in numerous backpacking expeditions including two trips to Michigan’s National Park: Isle Royale. After high school, Andre attended Saint John Vianney College Seminary earning his degree in Philosophy and Catholic Studies. During his time in college seminary, Andre fell in love with Eucharistic adoration and the Lord’s invitation to pray as He does: in the silence of the wilderness. As a COR Missionary, Andre is passionate about sharing this gift with others who come to meet the Lord in the beauty of creation. During the summer of 2022 Andre participated in the COR internship program, expanding his backcountry skills and earning his certification as a Wilderness First Responder. When in the wilderness, Andre loves backpacking, rock climbing, canyoneering, skiing and visiting the National Parks with his younger brother.
