Debbie Allen is a recently retired homeschool mom, born, raised and still residing on the Central Coast of California. In 1980, she graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Business Administration, Management Information Systems concentration. Los Angeles became her next home, working for a couple of business software providers. She was not to start dating the love of her life, Andy Allen, until they re-met in the Cal Poly Alumni Los Angeles chapter. She was also able to work in the London and Australian offices of her company before returning to Los Angeles. Her last job before motherhood was as a consultant for Price Waterhouse. The couple have been blessed with seven beautiful children, and the grace to be able to homeschool them all through their high school years. After marriage, her biggest and best decision was joining the Catholic church in 1994. During her 27 years as a homeschool mom, she started a local Catholic Homeschooling group and a Speech and Debate Club. Since her retirement in 2020, she has enjoyed volunteering at a local Crisis Pregnancy Center and leading a women’s book group. Traveling, camping, hosting guests and walking on the Camino de Santiago have brought incredible blessings to Debbie’s life. She is honored to be a small part of Wyoming Catholic College’s mission, where three of their children have attended.
