About Totus Tuus – “Totally Yours”
Totus Tuus is a fun and energetic parish based summer catechetical program for both grade school age children and middle and high school youth. Totus Tuus gathers together college students and seminarians from across the United States onto teaching teams of four. We train them and send them out on the road to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in various participating parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Denver. The teachers’ youthfulness, energy, and ability to witness to the Faith make them particularly effective with children and youth.
In hiring our teachers, we look for love of God, faith, energy, and enthusiasm. We also look for commitment to spiritual growth, teamwork skills and desire to serve the youth. The teams of four consist of two men and two women. These teams bring the program to different parishes each week for seven weeks in the summer. At the parish, they conduct a week-long “parish mission,” teaching and inspiring the parish’s children and teenagers. The parishes they serve will be in the Archdiocese of Denver and this includes the eastern plains and mountain areas of Colorado.
The Grade School program is for children entering the first through sixth grades for the upcoming school year. This program runs Monday through Friday 9 AM to 2:30 PM. The Middle School and High School Program runs Sunday through Thursday 7 PM to 9 PM.
May 30th thru August 4th, 2019. These dates do include your teacher training. You will have the July 4th week off, from June 29th to July 6th, 2019. On Saturday afternoon, July 6th you will need to arrive at your next parish to begin week 4 of the Totus Tuus Program.
Totus Tuus Teachers are paid hourly with 40 hours in the work week. Housing is provided as well as some of the meals.
Interested? For more information, contact Kim.Perez@archden.org or call 303-715-2499
