From Bourbonnais IL, Josh started hiking in the woods as a young child when his siblings would take him to the state parks and his parents bringing the family camping together. As soon as he got his independence with his bike and car he took off into the woods with his dog to spend as much time as he could outdoors. Meanwhile going into high school he grew in love for the Lord, from the faith that his brother shared with him. Going into college at the University of St. Francis he found a way to do both the things he loves by studying outdoor recreation as well as working as a peer minister for his floor. Finishing out his degree, he found COR and realized it was the perfect blend of ministry and the outdoors that he wanted. He came onto COR in 2021 working as an intern as part of his Advanced Field Experience class for USF before graduating and continuing on, until 2022 when he became a full time missionary.
