Jacob Ramaekers

COR Course Director

B.A. (Liberal Arts), Wyoming Catholic College

jacob@CORexpeditions.org

Jacob was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska with a passion for the outdoors starting at a very young age. When this passion for the outdoors and the faith collided he decided that Wyoming Catholic College was the perfect place to continue his education. He was inspired by the experiences he had in the wilderness throughout college. Hoping to share in the mission he returned to the Freshman 21-Day Expedition three times as an instructor, as well as working as a full time summer COR instructor. He has led backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, ice climbing, canyoneering and backcountry skiing. He is also certified in wilderness medicine through SOLO. Graduating in 2020 as the recipient of the Pier Giorgio Frassati Award for excellence in outdoor education, he now continues working as a full time missionary for COR Expeditions. When he’s not in the backcountry, you can find Jacob shredding on a mountain bike or snowboarding when the snow flies. Getting outside is how Jacob best sees and serves God, and he looks forward to as much time out there as possible!
