Fr. Zimmer is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, with degrees in Master of Divinity and Master of Liberal Arts with a specialization in Systematic Theology.  He was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in May of 2012 for the Diocese of Lincoln, NE.  His first assignment (for a period of one year) was parochial vicar at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, theology teacher at Pius X Catholic High School, and Assistant Master of Ceremonies.  His current, assignment is Diocesan Master of Ceremonies, Director of Charity and Stewardship Appeal, Director of Bishop’s Appeal for Vocations, Director of Frassati Young Adult, and theology teacher at Pius X Catholic High School while residing at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ.  He has a passion for hunting, fishing, athletics, outdoor activities in general, and has an extensive background in backpacking and camping.  He has been a chaplain on COR trips for the last 3 years and is looking forward to his 4^th!
