Erin grew up as a local resident of Southern Pines, North Carolina. After pursuing the equestrian world in much of her high school years, Erin felt called to enter Wyoming Catholic College, a tiny college in Wyoming which emphasizes the beauty and wonder of God’s created world through its outdoor program. She found inspiration through the Freshmen three-week expedition which opened her eyes to the world of outdoor ministry and its powerful ability to bring people to God through silence and the contemplation of creation.

Erin continued through her college years at Wyoming Catholic College to pursue the outdoors and to develop in leadership education, ultimately coming back to the 21 day-expedition twice as an instructor. Her love for rock climbing and wilderness medicine lead her to become a rock climbing instructor and achieve Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder certifications through SOLO. In addition to involving herself in the school outdoor program, she spent two summers as a professional backpacking guide for the back-country program of Camp Wojtyla in Boulder, Colorado. Erin’s passion for ministry started with a mission trip to Nicaragua where she and a small group of friends built a church for the village of El Trapiche. COR combines two of her passions, ministry and the outdoors. She and her husband and fellow COR staff Paul Milligan have two boys, Leo and Kolbe, who have already been on many outdoor adventures with them. Erin spends less time in the field now and manages the social media marketing for COR as well as teaching wilderness medicine courses.
