Introduction: The Catholic Sports Amazing Interns Scholarship is an award aimed at recognizing and supporting exceptional individuals who have completed an internship with Catholic Sports. This scholarship has been established to honor the dedication and commitment of students who have actively contributed to the mission and values of Catholic Sports through their internship experience.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship will award $5,000.00 to the selected recipient(s) to be applied towards their educational expenses, such as tuition & fees, room & board, and other academic necessities. All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college/university tuition bursar office for disbursement.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for the Catholic Sports Amazing Interns Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Completed an official internship with Catholic Sports in its entirety. Including all objectives and goals of the internship.
Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student at the time of application.
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Sports’ values and principles.
Showcase leadership qualities and exceptional performance during the internship.
Application Requirements: Interested candidates must submit the below form to be considered for the scholarship, along with these documents being uploaded to the form:

Completed scholarship application form below.
Up-to-date resume highlighting internship experience, academic achievements, and extracurricular activities.
A personal statement (500-750 words) describing the impact of the Catholic Sports internship on their intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and professional growth, as well as their dedication to the organization’s mission and values after the internship.
Two letters of recommendation:

One from a supervisor or mentor from the Catholic Sports internship program.
One from a professor, priest, or college parish staff member.
Transcripts reflecting the applicant’s cumulative GPA and academic performance.
Selection Process: The Catholic Sports Board of Directors or other delegated committee associated with Catholic Sports will review all submitted applications. The evaluation process will consider the applicant’s academic performance, internship experience, leadership qualities, personal statement, and recommendation letters. The committee will select the most deserving candidate(s) who align best with the values and principles of Catholic Sports.

Scholarship Timeline:

Application Deadline: Annually Aug 31
Review and Selection Period: Sept.
Scholarship Recipient Announcement & Awarding: Sept.
How to Apply: Applicants can access the scholarship application form on the Catholic Sports below. All required documents must be submitted electronically on the form by the specified deadline.

Note to Recipient(s): The chosen scholarship recipient(s) will be notified via email and will need to provide proof of enrollment before receiving the scholarship award. Additionally, the recipient(s) may be requested to participate in promotional activities related to the scholarship and Catholic Sports.
